The contestants should submit the following information on a separate page:
Essays should be sent to on or before March 15, 2022.
However, this will not be included in the essay’s word count.
References/Bibliography should be included if it is referred from other sources.
Essays should be minimum of 1000 words and should not exceed 1,500 words in length.
Essays should be a Word document in Unicode font.
Those who won the first, second, or third prize in Thirukkural Essay Competition held last year(2021) are not eligible to participate in this year’s competition.
If this happens, both essays will be rejected. For example, an essay written in English should not be translated into Tamil and vice versa. However, the essays should be on different topics.
There is no limit to the number of essays a contestant can submit.
The content of the essays must be based on Thirukkural.
Essays should be written either in English or in Tamil.
This competition is limited to students in the USA studying in grades 9 through 12.
